Sitting Circles
Sticking to a daily meditation practice is hard.
To make it easier, you can join a Sitting Circle: a small group that commits to sit together, via video chat, at a set time every day (or weekday).
The social support and accountability can make a huge difference. Plus, it’s just nice to sit with other people.
Fill out the form below, and we’ll find you a Sitting Circle based on your preferences. We answer some common questions here.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people are in a Sitting Circle?
We’ve found that 3-4 people is the sweet spot. On rare occasions, we might temporarily form a two-person circle, but we’ll fill it out to three or four as quickly as we can.
Does everyone in the Sitting Circle need to sit for the same length of time?
Nope! What seems to matter, for purposes of accountability and support, is just that you start at the same time. It’s okay if different people in the circle finish their sit and drop off the video chat at different times.
What’s the typical process for the daily sit?
It’s up to you and your circle-mates, but it seems helpful to keep it simple and not do too much chatting, at least not until after the sit. We recommend that you hop on video chat, wave hello, and start sitting.
Should I be muted? What should I do with my camera?
Again, everything is up for discussion with your circle-mates, but it’s a best practice and considered polite to mute your mic during your sit.
We also strongly encourage you to keep your camera on. It provides a stronger feeling of group support if, when someone happens to glance at their screen during the sit, they can see their circle-mates also sitting.
